MG Starts Bookings for Limited-Edition Cyberster & M9 Couture Models

MG has started accepting bookings for the exclusive Cyberster Couture Edition and M9 Couture Edition in India. Created in collaboration with fashion designer Gaurav Gupta, these special editions bring a fresh design approach to the brand's premium electric models. Production will be restricted to just 50 units of each model, making them some of the rarest MG vehicles available in the country.

The two models were introduced during the launch of Gaurav Gupta's Light Song collection in Mumbai. Buyers can now place pre-reservations through the MG Select network, while the official prices are scheduled to be announced on August 3, 2026.

MG Cyberster and M9 Couture Editions Focus on Exclusive Design

The special editions feature bespoke styling inspired by Gaurav Gupta's Serpent Infinity design language, along with handcrafted detailing and unique finishes. The Cyberster was also displayed as part of the designer's Light Song fashion showcase, highlighting the collaboration between luxury mobility and couture.

At the unveiling, Milind Shah, Head of MG Select, said the partnership reflects the brand's vision of offering luxury experiences beyond traditional automobiles. Gaurav Gupta added that the project blends craftsmanship, technology and artistic design. Both editions will be available exclusively through the MG Select dealership network.

Powertrain Remains Unchanged

The Couture Editions continue with the same electric powertrains as the standard models. The MG M9 uses a 90 kWh battery paired with a 245 hp electric motor, offering a claimed driving range of 548 km. Meanwhile, the MG Cyberster is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup producing 510 hp and 725 Nm, with a claimed 580 km MIDC range. 

Despite unchanged performance, the exclusive design and limited production make these editions ideal for buyers seeking a more distinctive MG electric model.
