The Tomahawk also gets a lifetime high voltage battery warranty for the first owner.
MG Hector Tomahawk EV Design, Performance And Range

The Hector Tomahawk EV has a tall and upright SUV profile with a wide stance. It gets rectangular LED headlamps and distinctive LED daytime running lights.
The front also features an illuminated MG logo and a large, upright design. At the rear, wraparound LED tail lamps add to its visual identity. The SUV rides on 18 inch dual tone alloy wheels. MG has also fitted a powered tailgate for added convenience.
Under the skin, the Tomahawk EV uses a 69.2kWh battery pack powering a single permanent magnet synchronous motor. The motor produces 150kW and 310Nm of torque, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100kmph in just 8.2 seconds.
The certified range stands at 517km on a single charge. Actual range will vary with traffic, speed, weather and driving conditions.
As far as charging is concerned, the SUV supports 90kW DC fast charging. MG says 30 to 80 percent charging takes around 35 minutes. Meanwhile, a 7.4kW AC charger takes around 12.5 hours for a 10 to 100 percent charge. For home users, overnight charging could be a good option.
MG Hector Tomahawk EV Interior, Features And Safety

The car packs a technology focused cabin with comfort features, connected functions and several safety systems for everyday family use. Here are the key features of the MG Hector Tomahawk:
- Large Displays: It gets a 15.6 inch HD infotainment screen and an 8.8 inch digital driver display.
- Comfort Features: The cabin offers a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, powered front seats and driver seat memory.
- Ambient Lighting: Buyers get 256 colour ambient lighting, adding more personalisation to the cabin.

- Additional Functions: Gesture controls, pet mode, valet mode and camp mode add more convenience for different use cases.
- Vehicle To Home: The system can supply stored vehicle energy to compatible home appliances during power outages.
- Safety Equipment: The SUV gets six airbags, Level 2 ADAS and a 360 degree camera with wheel view functionality.
- Electronic Safety: Electronic stability control, traction control and hill hold assist are also included.
- Other Safety Features: Tyre pressure monitoring, an electronic parking brake and all wheel disc brakes complete the safety package.
MG Hector Tomahawk EV Ride, Comfort, Dimensions And Practicality

The latest MG Car measures 4,745mm in length and 1,770mm in height. Its wheelbase measures 2,810mm. The width, including mirrors, stands at 2,130mm. Ground clearance at the battery is rated at 230mm.
The long wheelbase of the MG SUV provides useful cabin space for family users. The EV is available with both five and seven seat layouts. The five seat version offers up to 610 litres of luggage capacity. Seven seat versions get sliding and reclining second row seats.
The second row also gets a 60:40 split folding function. This provides more flexibility when carrying passengers and luggage. The Tomahawk EV runs entirely on electricity, so the running costs will depend on electricity charges and charging habits.
The BaaS version adds another cost through its Rs 4.90 per kilometre battery rental. Buyers should calculate this cost against their annual driving distance. For example, 10,000km of driving would mean Rs 49,000 in battery rental charges. This is separate from the electricity cost.

MG Hector Tomahawk EV Vs Rivals
The Tomahawk EV enters a growing electric SUV market. Its closest competitors include the Mahindra XEV 9S, Kia Carens Clavis EV and Tata Harrier EV. The upcoming Tata Safari EV is another relevant rival for buyers seeking a larger electric family SUV.
The Tomahawk stands out with its five and seven seat flexibility. Its 517km certified range also gives it a useful advantage for longer journeys.
However, buyers should compare charging access, real world range and after sales support before making a decision.
Should You Buy the MG Hector Tomahawk EV?
The Rs 19.49 lakh starting price makes the Hector Tomahawk EV worth considering. It combines seven seat practicality with a claimed 517km range.
The 69.2kWh battery and 90kW DC charging also suit regular intercity travel. Its feature list further targets buyers who prioritise technology and cabin comfort.
However, the BaaS model needs careful calculation before choosing it. Frequent drivers may accumulate significant battery rental charges over time.
The Tomahawk makes the most sense for buyers with reliable charging access and regular family use. Buyers without convenient charging should compare it against hybrid alternatives.
Verdict
The Hector Tomahawk EV offers a strong mix of space, range and technology at its starting price. Its final value will depend heavily on ownership costs and real world range.
