JSW MG Motor India has launched the MG Windsor INDULGE Edition in India, priced at Rs 17.88 lakh (ex-showroom). The launch comes as the Windsor strengthens its position in the electric vehicle segment, having reached over 80,000 families in 24 months, according to the company. Moreover, the new edition expands the lineup with a more exclusive take on the model, while retaining its existing electric powertrain.
Dual-Tone Exterior Gets Exclusive Details
The MG Windsor INDULGE Edition gets a dual-tone exterior that gives it a distinct look compared with the standard model. Black accents and exclusive badging further set this version apart.
Key exterior highlights include:
- Body colour: Shadow Gold with a contrasting Black roof
- ORVMs: Black finish
- Alloy wheels: R-18 Black alloys
- Badging: Exclusive INDULGE lettering on the C-pillar
Cabin Features and Accessories
The cabin adopts an Urban Tan and Black upholstery theme, with INDULGE embroidery on the front headrests. A PRIVE Screen comes as standard for second-row passengers, accompanied by INDULGE-branded pillows and neck cushions.
The edition’s accessory package includes:
- Rear sunshade
- INDULGE-themed 3D mats
- Chrome accents for the front grille
- Bumper corner protectors
- Body side moulding
- Premium leather key cover
The Windsor’s existing cabin features include Aero Lounge seats that recline up to 135 degrees and a 15.6-inch GRANDVIEW touchscreen.
Battery, Power and Driving Range
The INDULGE Edition continues with the Windsor’s 38 kWh battery pack. Its electric motor produces 100 kW (136 PS) and 200 Nm of torque, while the certified range stands at 332 km. The launch announcement does not indicate any changes to the powertrain, with the main updates centred on design, cabin features and accessories.
Official Statement
Speaking on the launch of the MG Windsor INDULGE Edition, Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer at JSW MG Motor India, said:
“The MG Windsor is an important product not only for us but for the EV segment, as it has encouraged many fence-sitters to embrace electric mobility. Reaching over 80,000 families in just 24 months is a remarkable milestone and a testament to the value the Windsor delivers to customers. Building on this success, the INDULGE Edition introduces exclusive enhancements and an elevated cabin experience, offering customers a more premium and personalised expression of the Windsor lifestyle. It reflects our commitment to continuously evolving the product in line with changing customer preferences while retaining the qualities that have made the Windsor a preferred choice in the EV segment.”
Car Junction Insights
The MG Windsor INDULGE Edition appears aimed at buyers who value rear-seat comfort and exclusive styling in an electric car. The standard PRIVE Screen is a useful addition for passengers, while the Shadow Gold finish gives the model a more distinctive appearance. However, buyers should consider whether these cosmetic and comfort upgrades justify the higher price compared with other Windsor variants.
Another festive launch to watch: the Toyota Glanza facelift.
