Mini Cooper Convertible Stardust Edition Priced at Rs. 62.90 Lakh in India
Google News

Mini India has launched the new Mini Cooper Convertible Stardust Edition in India at Rs. 62.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The limited-run model is being brought to the country as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and can be booked exclusively through the Mini India website. Customer deliveries have already commenced.
The Stardust Edition is based on the standard Cooper Convertible and carries a Rs. 3.90 lakh premium over the regular model priced at Rs. 59 lakh. It also sits Rs. 1.40 lakh above the Cooper Convertible JCW Pack. While the powertrain remains unchanged, the new edition stands out with its exclusive styling, premium cabin, and limited availability.
Exclusive Exterior Design Sets the Stardust Edition Apart
The biggest highlight of the Stardust Edition is its exclusive design package, featuring a unique Sparkling Copper Grey exterior with Champagne detailing. It also receives new styling elements that make it stand out from the standard Cooper Convertible.
Exterior highlights include:
- Sparkling Copper Grey paint with Champagne detailing
- LED headlamps with three lighting signatures
- New front grille and Vibrant Silver ORVM caps
- 18-inch JCW Rallye Spoke alloy wheels
- Vertically stacked LED taillamps
- Union Jack-themed electrically operated soft top
The electric soft top can be opened in 18 seconds and closed in 15 seconds at speeds of up to 30 kmph. It can also be partially opened by 40 cm to function like a sunroof at any speed. The boot offers 160 litres of luggage space with the roof open, which increases to 215 litres when the roof is closed.
Cabin Offers Premium Features and Safety
Inside, the Stardust Edition retains the premium cabin layout of the standard Cooper Convertible while offering a comprehensive list of comfort, technology, and safety features. The centrepiece is the 9.4-inch circular OLED touchscreen running MINI OS 9, complemented by a head-up display and Digital Key Plus.
Other key features include:
- Harman Kardon surround sound system
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Mini Experience Modes including Go-Kart, Green and Vivid
- Sports seats with electric adjustment and active seat function
- Heated steering wheel and automatic climate control
- Wireless phone charger and reverse parking camera
Safety equipment includes Level 1 ADAS, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and three-point seat belts for all four occupants.
Engine and Performance Remain Unchanged
Powering the Mini Cooper Convertible Stardust Edition is a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 204 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, delivering a claimed 0-100 kmph time of 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 240 kmph. Mini claims the convertible can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 6.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 kmph.
The Mini Cooper Convertible Stardust Edition delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 16.82 kmpl. This is slightly higher than the 16.39 kmpl claimed by the standard Cooper Convertible. While there are no mechanical changes, the special edition stands out with its exclusive styling and limited-edition appeal.
