2026 Toyota Hilux Launched at Rs 31.99 Lakh: Key Specs Inside
Google News

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the 2026 Toyota Hilux in India at a starting price of Rs 31.99 lakh (ex showroom). The lifestyle pickup truck arrived on July 28, with bookings now open across Toyota dealerships and deliveries set to begin in the second week of August.
The new model brings a fresh design, an upgraded cabin, a new entry level 4x2 automatic variant, and more technology while keeping its rugged ladder frame construction. For buyers, the biggest takeaway is a lower starting price than expected and a wider choice of variants.
Alongside the launch, the carmaker also unveiled the Hilux Camper, priced at around Rs 50 lakh. It comes equipped with amenities designed for camping and adventure travel.
2026 Toyota Hilux: Price and Variants
The 2026 Toyota Hilux is available in three variants:

Rs 31.99 lakh |

Toyota has also introduced a rear wheel drive (4x2) automatic variant for buyers who like the Hilux's road presence but do not need four wheel drive every day. This could make ownership more practical for urban buyers while reducing the entry price.
2026 Toyota Hilux: Engine and Key Specs
The pickup continues with Toyota's trusted 2.8 litre four cylinder turbo diesel engine producing 204hp and 500 Nm paired with a 48V mild hybrid system. Power goes through a six speed automatic gearbox, while the 4x4 variants retain low range capability for off road driving.
Toyota says the mild hybrid setup improves drivability and fuel efficiency, especially in stop and go traffic.

2026 Toyota Hilux: More Features and Fresh Look
The new Hilux gets a redesigned front fascia with slimmer LED headlamps, a larger grille, and updated bumpers. Inside, Toyota has given the cabin a major upgrade with dual 12.3 inch displays, wireless charging, and connected car features.
It also gets dual zone climate control, powered and ventilated front seats, a 360 degree camera, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) on higher variants. These changes make the pickup feel more premium without changing its tough character.
What Buyers Should Know
- Prices start at Rs 31.99 lakh (ex showroom).
- The new GX 4x2 AT lowers the entry point into the Hilux range.
- Deliveries will begin in the second week of August.
- It continues with a diesel powertrain, now paired with 48V mild hybrid technology.
- It competes with the Isuzu V Cross.
The 2026 Toyota Hilux focuses on improving everyday usability without losing the rugged appeal that made the name popular worldwide. With a modern cabin, more technology, a new 4x2 automatic variant, and mild-hybrid assistance, the Hilux now appeals to both urban and adventure-focused buyers.
Those looking for a premium lifestyle pickup now have more choices depending on their budget and driving needs.
