Toyota Glanza Facelift Teased Ahead of Launch

The Toyota Glanza Facelift is finally getting launched on 14th November and ahead of that, Toyota India has teased out a short video on X. The next-gen Glanza is getting a new, prominent grille surround, contrasting bumper elements and updated LED front lights.

Originally launched in 2019 and given a major overhaul in 2022, the model is now set to receive its mid-lifecycle facelift. Official teasers showcase early design changes, following closely on the heels of the updated Baleno's arrival.

Exterior Design and Cabin Equipment Upgrades

The updated hatchback introduces refreshed visual elements while expanding its internal tech package.

• Styling Revisions: Incorporates a redesigned front grille with black mesh, a repositioned Toyota emblem, revised fog lamp housings and updated bumper trim.
• Interior & Convenience: Expected to gain ventilated front seats, a wireless charging pad with active cooling, brand-specific cabin upholstery and premium audio options.
• Safety Tech: Expected to offer Level 2 ADAS features like automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control and high beam assist.

Powertrain and Transmission Setup

The Glanza facelift will replace its existing four cylinder motor in favor of a new three cylinder engine layout.

• Engine: Powered by a 1.2-litre three cylinder Z Series petrol engine optimized for enhanced fuel efficiency.
• Gearbox Options: Transmission options will include a 5 speed manual and a 5-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT).
• CNG Variant: Factory fitted CNG choices will continue, with expectations for an AMT gearbox option alongside the standard manual.

With the official launch on October 14, customer deliveries are expected to begin during the second half of the month to capture peak festive demand. The Glanza facelift will continue competing against established rivals in the premium hatchback category, including its Maruti Twin - the Baleno and others like Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz.

By adding options like a CNG AMT powertrain and Level 2 ADAS, Toyota Kirloskar Motor aims to keep its urban hatchback attractive to buyers seeking low running costs alongside high tech.
