Toyota Kirloskar Motor Reports Total Sales of 30,360 Units in October 2026

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has posted the sales number of 30,360 units in October-2026, across its domestic and export markets. For the significant portion of this total sales, domestic requirement posed to be a great contributor with 29,521 units delivered this month. The remaining 839 units were exported from India, internationally.

Unlike the usual trend that we used to see a growth in YoY, this time however Toyota car sales took a big dip - almost by one-third. This could be due to the launch of Hyryder and Fortuner special additions, clearing previous inventory and others.

Toyota registered 29,521 domestic units and 839 export units in October 2026, bringing total monthly sales to 30,360 units. Monthly domestic passenger vehicle dispatches declined by 26.67% compared to October 2025, while total monthly sales saw a 29.22% drop.

This drop comes primarily on the back of an extraordinarily high base set in October 2025, which saw record dispatches driven by new variant launches and heavy order backlog clearings. However, cumulative domestic sales for the January to October 2026 period reached 2,99,140 units, maintaining a positive 4% YoY growth over 2,87,338 units in 2025.

Month-on-Month Sales Trend

Sequentially, domestic passenger vehicle deliveries saw a sharp increase over September 2026. Domestic sales expanded by 4,494 units from 25,027 units in September to 29,521 units in October 2026. This translates to a strong 17.96% month-on-month growth. Primary reason behind can be attributed to the launch of Glanza facelift in the same month.

Meanwhile, overall sales across domestic dispatches and overseas shipments rose from 28,218 units in September to 30,360 units in October 2026. Festive interest across urban and semi-urban buyers primarily accelerated this monthly volume growth.

We see Toyota's October performance as a case of base effect normalization rather than a drop in core demand. October 2025 set an all-time monthly high for Toyota due to a massive release of backlog orders and special variant pushes like the Hyryder Aero Edition.

On top of that, a 17.96% month-on-month jump in domestic deliveries shows that local consumer appetite remains strong. Production ceilings on flagship hybrid models continuously restrict massive dispatch spikes.
