Volkswagen Tayron Life Launched at Rs. 41.99 Lakh
Google News

Volkswagen India has launched the new Tayron Life at Rs. 41.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variant becomes the most affordable model in the Tayron lineup. It sits Rs. 5 lakh below the Tayron R Line. Moreover, it offers a five seat layout while retaining the same powerful engine and several premium features.
Five Seater Layout With Fresh Styling
The Tayron Life shares its overall design with the R Line. However, Volkswagen has introduced a few visual changes.
Key Exterior Highlights
- Five Seat Configuration: The Tayron Life replaces the R Line's seven seat layout with five seats.
- New Alloy Wheels: It gets a smaller alloy wheel design than the 19-inch wheels on the R Line.
- Updated Bumpers: Simpler front and rear bumpers give the SUV a cleaner appearance.
- No R Badging: The exterior does not feature R Line branding.
- Revised Interior Theme: Buyers get a different dual tone upholstery design.
These updates help distinguish the Tayron Life from the flagship R Line variant.

Premium Features Continue
Although it costs less, the Tayron Life still offers several comfort and convenience features.
Key Features
- 12.9 Inch Touchscreen: A large infotainment display supports everyday connectivity.
- Digital Instrument Cluster: Drivers get a fully digital display behind the steering wheel.
- Wireless Charging: The SUV offers convenient wireless smartphone charging.
- Powered Front Seats: Both front seats feature electric adjustment.
- Panoramic Sunroof: The large sunroof enhances the cabin experience.
- Ambient Lighting: Multi colour ambient lighting adds a premium feel.
- Illuminated Logos: Connected front and rear illuminated Volkswagen logos remain available.
The Tayron Life uses an eight speaker audio system instead of the Harman Kardon setup. However, it continues to offer the front seat massage function.
Same Engine as the R Line
Volkswagen has made no mechanical changes to the Tayron Life. The SUV uses the same 2.0 litre TSI turbo petrol engine. It produces 201 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. Power reaches all four wheels through a seven speed dual clutch automatic transmission. This setup delivers strong performance without compromising everyday comfort.
Lower Price Makes It More Accessible
The Tayron Life is priced at Rs. 41.99 lakh (ex-showroom). In comparison, the Tayron R Line costs Rs. 46.99 lakh. The new variant also undercuts the Tiguan R Line, priced at Rs. 47.11 lakh. With a lower price, premium features, and the same powerful engine, the Volkswagen Tayron Life offers buyers a more affordable entry into the brand's premium SUV range.
