VinFast VF 6, VF 7 Prices Hiked: Check New Prices And Key Details

VinFast has increased the prices of its VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs in India. The latest VinFast VF 6 prices are now up by Rs. 90,000. The hike applies immediately across all three VF 6 variants.

The SUV now costs between Rs 18.19 lakh and Rs 20.09 lakh (ex showroom). The VF 7 has also received a price increase of up to Rs 1.13 lakh. Its revised prices now range from Rs 22.99 lakh to Rs 28.09 lakh (ex showroom). The latest revision makes both SUVs costlier for buyers considering VinFast’s electric models.

VinFast VF 6 Prices Hiked

VinFast has increased the VF 6 prices across all three variants. The revised lineup includes Earth, Wind, and Wind Infinity variants.

The VF 6 was launched in India in September last year. This marks its second price hike within one year. The previous increase came in January after its introductory prices ended. The higher entry price means buyers now need to budget more for the VF 6. The SUV competes in India's growing electric SUV segment.

VinFast VF 7 Prices Increased

The VinFast VF 7 prices have increased by Rs 1.10 lakh to Rs 1.13 lakh. The hike varies depending on the variant across its five variant lineup.

The entry level VF 7 now costs Rs. 22.99 lakh (ex showroom). The top spec version is priced at Rs. 28.09 lakh (ex showroom).

The VF 7 is positioned as a premium electric SUV. It gets single motor and dual motor powertrain configurations. Higher spec versions feature a 70kWh battery pack.

The SUV measures around 4.5 metres in length. It competes with electric SUVs such as the Mahindra XEV 9e and Tata Harrier EV.

What Does This Price Hike Mean For Buyers?

The latest revision raises the upfront cost of both VinFast electric SUVs. Buyers comparing variants will now need to account for the higher ex showroom prices.

VinFast currently sells the VF 6, VF 7, and VF MPV 7 in India. The company is also expanding its retail presence and charging facilities across the country. The automaker has recently been spotted testing the VF 5 in India. This suggests another electric model could join its local lineup.

For buyers, the latest hikes make price comparison more important, especially against rivals offering similar electric SUV packages at competitive prices.
