If you’re looking for a seven seater that can handle family trips while keeping fuel costs in check, the VinFast VF MPV 7 is worth a look. It offers seven seats, flexible cabin space and a claimed 517km MIDC range. With a 60.13kWh usable battery and a 2,840mm wheelbase, it focuses on everyday family needs.
So, if you’re considering an MPV like the Toyota Innova Hycross or Kia Carens, here are five reasons the VF MPV 7 could suit your family.
1. The VF MPV 7 focuses on all three rows
A 7 seater needs to keep passengers comfortable when every seat is occupied. The VF MPV 7 gets features aimed at passengers across all three rows.
The second row gets 60:40 split seats with sliding, reclining and one touch tumble functions. The third row gets reclining seats and adjustable headrests. Passengers in the rear also get dedicated air conditioning controls. Air vents serve all three rows, while a PM2.5 filter is also available.
These features can matter during school runs, family trips and longer highway journeys.
2. Flexible space for passengers and luggage
The VF MPV 7 offers 126 litres of boot space with all seven seats in use. Folding the third row increases capacity to 606 litres.
Folding both rear rows creates up to 1,240 litres of available cargo space. The second row tumble function also makes access to the third row easier.
This flexibility can help families carry luggage, groceries and other items without giving up all seven seats.
3. Electric power with everyday usability
The VF MPV 7 uses a 150kW electric motor that produces 280Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels.
Instant electric torque can make pulling away and accelerating through traffic smoother. Drivers can choose between Eco, Normal and Sport modes.
Regenerative braking offers four settings, including Off, Low, Medium and High. The suspension uses MacPherson struts at the front and a multi link setup at the rear.
The Vinfast car also offers 185mm of unladen ground clearance. This can be useful on speed breakers and uneven urban roads.
4. Useful technology and safety features
The VF MPV 7 gets a 10.1 inch infotainment screen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also offers connected car functions and smartphone controls.
Other features include FOTA updates and a virtual assistant for voice commands. The gear selector sits on the steering column, freeing up centre console space.
Safety equipment includes four airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist and electronic stability control. Traction control, hill start assist and rollover mitigation are also included.
Rear parking sensors and a rear camera can help when manoeuvring the large MPV.
5. The EV ownership package matters
The VF MPV 7 gets a 60.13kWh usable battery with a claimed 517km MIDC range. Its DC fast charging system supports up to 80kW.
VinFast says charging from 10% to 70% takes 30 minutes under suitable conditions. The company also provides free scheduled maintenance for three years or 36,000km. Eligible V Green charging stations offer free charging until March 31, 2029. The vehicle warranty covers seven years or 160,000km.
The battery gets 10 years or 200,000km of coverage, and free roadside assistance is also included during the standard vehicle warranty.
For families, the VF MPV 7 combines flexible seating, electric running and ownership support in one package.
Car Junction Insights
The VinFast VF MPV 7 makes a practical case for families seeking an electric seven seater. Its flexible seating, 517km claimed range and generous warranty support everyday family use. However, buyers should also consider charging access and real world range before switching from established MPVs like the Innova Hycross or Kia Carens.
