Skoda Octavia RS Returns to India With Only 50 Units

Skoda has reopened bookings for the Octavia RS in India, bringing the performance sedan back for another limited run. Bookings for the second batch opened on 18 August 2026, while deliveries are expected to begin in October.

Only 50 units have been allocated for India this time, making the second batch even smaller than the 100-unit allocation offered last year. The company will first honour existing bookings from the previous allocation before accepting orders from new customers.

Skoda Octavia RS Second Batch Details

The Octavia RS continues to arrive in India as a fully imported model, which keeps its allocation limited and also contributes to its high price. The first batch was launched at an ex-showroom price of Rs 49.99 lakh.

Skoda had earlier received nearly 350 bookings for the Octavia RS, leaving many customers waiting after the first batch sold out. The company had indicated that it was working to bring more units to India, resulting in this second allocation of 50 cars.

Octavia RS Engine and Performance

The Skoda Octavia RS is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 265bhp and 370Nm. The engine is capable of taking the sedan from 0- 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds, while the claimed top speed stands at 250 km/h.

The performance-focused sedan also gets RS-specific styling, sports seats and a sportier chassis setup. This gives the Octavia RS a different character from the standard Octavia while retaining its spacious sedan layout.

Three Colour Options and Limited Availability

The new batch of the Octavia RS will be offered in three colour options. With only 50 cars allocated to India, customers interested in the sedan will have a limited window to place their bookings once existing orders have been addressed.

Skoda's other performance-focused model, the Kodiaq RS, has already sold out for 2026. The Octavia RS therefore becomes the brand's latest opportunity for Indian buyers looking for a Skoda with stronger performance and RS-specific equipment.

The second batch is expected to reach customers from October 2026, around the festive season. With a smaller allocation than last year's batch, the Octavia RS is likely to remain a rare sight on Indian roads.
