Skoda Slavia Facelift Teased Ahead of Launch on August 18

Skoda Auto India has released an official teaser for the Slavia facelift ahead of its launch on August 18. The mid-lifecycle update brings refreshed exterior styling, updated cabin features, and a key automatic transmission upgrade.

Exterior and Interior Revisions

The facelifted sedan features updated styling to align with the brand’s latest visual design language. Front and rear aesthetic tweaks give the midsize sedan a sharper and more modern road presence.

Key visual and feature updates include:

• Front Design: Redesigned headlamp units, altered fog lamp housings, and a new grille with integrated lighting elements.
• Exterior Tweaks: Revised front and rear bumpers alongside fresh designs for the alloy wheels.
• Cabin Upgrade: An expanded 10.25-inch digital driver display replaces the smaller unit on higher trim levels.
• Comfort Equipment: Updated seat upholstery, wireless phone charging, electric sunroof, and an optional rear-seat massage function.

Powertrain Options and Technical Upgrades

Mechanically, Skoda retains the existing turbo-petrol engines but upgrades the automatic gearbox on the entry engine.

The current Skoda Slavia retail price ranges between Rs 10.00 lakh and Rs 18.19 lakh, ex-showroom. Industry expectations point toward a modest price hike across the updated variant lineup.

Upon launch, the sedan will continue competing directly against the Hyundai Verna, Honda City, and Volkswagen Virtus.

This mid-cycle refresh provides timely feature additions to keep the Slavia competitive in the midsize sedan segment. The new 8-speed torque converter gearbox should deliver better shift logic and improved driveability.
