BMW has officially unveiled the next-generation iX3 electric SUV at the ongoing 2026 Indonesia Motor Show. The model marks a major milestone as the first production vehicle built on the company’s dedicated Neue Klasse architecture. Following its initial global rollout, the new iX3 is scheduled to arrive in Indian showrooms for a stronger local electric portfolio.
Design and Interior Features
The new BMW iX3 incorporates a minimalist exterior appearance designed to maximize aerodynamic efficiency. At the front, the SUV features vertically oriented kidney grilles paired with a distinctive lighting layout. Flush-fitting door handles further reduce air resistance, helping the vehicle achieve a low drag coefficient of 0.24.
In terms of dimensions, the iX3 measures 4,782 mm in length and offers versatile practical utility. The rear boot space provides 520 litres of storage, expanding to 1,750 litres when the rear seats are folded down. Inside, the cabin receives a full-width windscreen projection display, a 17.9-inch central touchscreen, 3D head-up display and a redesigned steering wheel.
