Tata Sierra EV Launched in India Starting at Rs 18.79 Lakh

Tata Motors has officially launched the highly anticipated Sierra EV in India, with ex-showroom prices starting from Rs 18.79 lakh. Built on the advanced Acti.ev+ architecture, this midsize electric SUV enters the market as a premium offering positioned above the Curvv EV. Official bookings are now open, and customer deliveries are scheduled to commence nationwide on July 15.
Tata Sierra EV Battery, Range, and Performance
The Sierra EV is built on the Acti.ev+ architecture and inherits the TiDAL electronic infrastructure from the larger Harrier EV. It is available in two battery capacities, offering both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) layouts.
- 63kWh Pack: Features a rear-mounted motor generating 238hp and 315Nm torque, delivering a certified range of 535km.
- 75kWh Pack: Generates 209hp in the RWD version with a 665km range. The AWD variant includes a secondary front motor, producing a combined 504Nm torque and 624km range.
- Charging: Using a 120kW DC fast charger, the vehicle can replenish 20 to 80 percent battery capacity in 26 minutes.
Tata Sierra EV Variant Prices and Dimensions
The variant lineup is spread across five trim levels. A 7.2kW home AC charger and its installation will cost an additional Rs 49,000.

Design and Key Features of Tata Sierra EV
The Sierra EV mirrors its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart closely, though it gets a distinct front bumper and gloss black elements. It offers 205mm ground clearance and rides on 18-inch or 19-inch alloy wheels depending on the chosen variant.
The interior features a triple-screen dashboard layout comprising a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, a 10.25-inch driver display and a 12.3-inch passenger screen. Premium equipment includes a 12-speaker JBL audio system, Level 2 ADAS, six standard airbags, vehicle-to-load functionality and a panoramic sunroof.
Positioned between the Curvv EV and the Harrier EV, the Sierra EV strengthens Tata's premium electric portfolio. It will directly compete with midsize electric SUVs like the Mahindra BE 6, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara and Hyundai Creta EV.
