Drivetrain & Motor

The Tata Curvv EV uses a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor for efficient electric performance. For this, the coupe-SUV is available in two types of battery-packs. This includes a 123 kW (167 PS) motor in 55 kWh capacity and a 110 kW (150 PS) motor in the 45 kWh capacity. Both deliver 215 Nm of instant torque for responsive acceleration. The EV also features Eco, City and Sport drive modes, plus paddle-controlled regenerative braking for improved energy recovery and control.

Charging Options

Curvv EV is available with multiple charging options. With DC fast charging, the batteries can be easily leveled up from 10% to 80% in just 40 minutes. For sustained charging with an AC wall-box charger, the 45 kWh battery takes around 6.5 hours while 55 kWh battery takes almost 7.9 hours. A 15A portable charger is also provided, allowing charging through a standard household socket.

Dimensions

This Tata electric SUV measures 4310 mm in length, 1810 mm in width and 1637 mm in height. An overall wheelbase of 2560 mm is provided for a balanced cabin space. For extra luggage space, the car offers a comfortable 500-litre boot space, easily carrying nearly everything for long trips. The SUV-coupé design also provides 186–193 mm ground clearance, helpful on uneven roads and urban high speed-bakers.

Tata Motors offers lifetime warranty on high voltage battery packs for the first registered owners. By lifetime warranty, the manufacturer means 15 years from the date of registration. For second registration, the battery is covered for 8 years or 1.6 lakh kilometers, whichever comes first.
