Tata Motors Announces Up to 1.5% Price Hike from July 1

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) has announced a price hike of up to 1.5% across its passenger vehicle range from July 1, 2026. The increase will apply to both ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) and electric vehicles. According to the company, the decision has been taken to partly offset rising input costs and ongoing inflationary pressures. The exact increase will vary depending on the model and variant.
Price Hike to Affect Both ICE and EV Models
The upcoming price revision will cover Tata Motors' entire passenger vehicle portfolio. This includes popular models such as the Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, Punch, Nexon, Curvv, Harrier, Safari, and Sierra. The company's electric vehicle lineup, including the Tiago EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV, Curvv EV, and Harrier EV, will also see revised prices.
Tata Motors stated that it continues to absorb a large part of the rising costs but has decided to pass on a portion of the burden to customers. The company added that it will continue to maintain the value offered by its vehicles despite the increase.
Second Price Increase by Tata Motors in 2026
This is the second price revision announced by Tata Motors in 2026. Earlier, the company increased prices across its ICE passenger vehicle range by an average of 0.5% from April 1. Before that, in January 2025, Tata Motors had raised prices by up to 3% across its passenger vehicle portfolio, including EVs.
The latest price hike comes as automakers continue to face higher raw material costs, logistics expenses, and inflation-related challenges. Many other brands have also been revising prices periodically to manage these rising costs while maintaining profitability.
Tata Maintains Strong Launch Momentum in 2026
The announcement comes during a busy year for Tata Motors. In 2026, the company has already launched several new and updated products, including the Sierra ICE, Harrier Petrol, Safari Petrol, Punch facelift, Punch EV facelift, Tiago facelift, and Tiago EV facelift.
Tata Motors is also preparing to debut the Sierra EV on 30th June, further expanding its electric vehicle portfolio. More details regarding the revised prices of individual models and variants are expected to be announced closer to the July 1 implementation date.
