Google News

Suzuki has revealed the first official image of the updated XL7 ahead of its global debut on July 29. The refreshed MPV will debut at the GIIAS 2026 in Indonesia. Later this year, the same model is expected to arrive in India as the facelifted Maruti XL6 with updated styling and new features.
Exterior Gets a Fresh New Look
The facelift brings noticeable styling updates while retaining the familiar MPV design.
Key Exterior Highlights
- New Chrome Grille: The front fascia receives a redesigned chrome grille with black inserts.
- Updated Headlamps: Suzuki has introduced sharper headlamps for a more modern appearance.
- Redesigned Fog Lamp Housing: The front bumper gets new fog lamp inserts.
- New Alloy Wheels: The side profile features freshly designed alloy wheels.
- Blacked-Out Tail Lamps: The rear gets smoked LED tail lamps for a sportier look.
These updates give the MPV a more premium and contemporary appearance.
More Features Expected Inside
The cabin is likely to retain its current layout. However, Suzuki is expected to add several convenience features.
Expected Interior Features
- Ventilated Front Seats: Improved comfort during long drives.
- Larger Infotainment Screen: India could receive a bigger touchscreen display.
- Updated 360-Degree Camera: A clearer camera system may improve visibility.
- Enhanced Head-Up Display: The facelift may feature a more advanced HUD.
These additions could make the XL6 more competitive in the premium MPV segment.

Engine Options to Remain Unchanged
The updated XL6 is expected to continue with the trusted 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The engine produces 103 bhp and 136 Nm of torque. Buyers will likely get a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox. Maruti is also expected to continue offering the CNG version. Furthermore, the updated XL6 could receive the practical underbody-mounted CNG tank introduced with the Victoris.
Launch Expected During the Festive Season
The facelifted Maruti XL6 is expected to launch in India during the festive season. Prices could range between Rs. 11.50 lakh and Rs. 14.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the updated XL6 will continue to compete with the Kia Carens Clavis. With refreshed styling, more features, and the trusted petrol engine, the facelifted XL6 aims to strengthen its position in India's premium MPV segment.
