MG Hector Tomahawk India Unveil Set for Tomorrow

JSW MG Motor India is set to unveil its new three-row SUV in India tomorrow, August 26. The SUV is expected to be called the MG Hector Tomahawk and will sit as a larger three-row offering in the brand’s lineup. Pre-bookings for the SUV are already open at an amount of Rs. 21,000.

The upcoming SUV is essentially a rebadged version of the Wuling Starlight 560, which is sold in international markets. MG is also expected to offer the model with both electric and plug-in hybrid powertrain options.

MG Hector Tomahawk Exterior Design

The MG Hector Tomahawk will get a modern design with several details already revealed through the company’s teasers. The front features dual U-shaped LED DRLs, LED headlamps, a blacked-out grille with chrome inserts and contrast-coloured skid plates.

Other exterior highlights include:

• Blacked-out pillars and roof
• Body-coloured ORVMs
• Dual-tone alloy wheels
• Roof rails
• LED taillights
• Shark-fin antenna

Beige Interior With Three-Row Seating

Inside, the three-row SUV will get a beige interior theme with a bench seat for the second row. It will also feature a two-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a large touchscreen infotainment system, cup holders and a large front armrest. The SUV will get adjustable headrests across all three rows, while the second-row bench seat is designed to accommodate three passengers.

Expected EV and PHEV Powertrains

The Hector Tomahawk is expected to be offered with two electrified powertrain options:

• EV: A 56.7kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor, with a claimed range of up to 530km on a single charge.
• PHEV: A 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a 20.5kWh battery pack, producing a combined 194bhp and 230Nm.

MG is also currently offering a special anniversary deal on the Hector, with benefits of up to ₹1.5 lakh for buyers.
