Both SUVs are nearly the same length: 3990mm for the XUV 3XO and 3995mm for the Bolero Neo but their proportions change how they feel on the road.
The Bolero Neo is taller at 1817mm and has a longer 2680mm wheelbase, which gives it a more upright stance and stronger road presence. It also offers a slightly bigger 384L boot and a larger 50L fuel tank.
Meanwhile, the XUV 3XO is wider at 1821mm and sits lower, which makes it easier to handle in cities. Moreover, for better city usage Mahindra has also launched the electric XUV 3XO car recently. It also has better ground clearance at 201mm, compared to 180mm on the Bolero Neo, which helps on speed breakers and rough roads.

The XUV 3XO offers two turbo petrol engines. The 1.2 L turbo engine produces 110 bhp and the other produces 129 bhp. Both feel quick and responsive, especially in city driving. You also get manual and automatic options, which add convenience. The XUV 3XO diesel engine is also powerful with 115 bhp and 300 Nm torque, which makes highway driving smooth and confident.
The Bolero Neo’s diesel engine is much simpler. It produces 100 bhp and 260 Nm torque for low-speed pulling power. That makes it useful for rural roads, hilly areas, and heavy loads. So, if you want durability and toughness, the Bolero Neo still holds its ground.

Both SUVs are quite fuel-efficient in their own way. The XUV 3XO diesel gives around 21.2 kmpl, which is excellent for long drives and daily commuting. In addition, the petrol versions also return decent mileage up to 18.2 kmpl. On the contrary, the Bolero Neo diesel delivers around 17.29 kmpl. It’s slightly lower, but still reasonable considering its body-on-frame design and rugged tuning.
