Mahindra has officially expanded its electric vehicle lineup with the launch of the XUV 3XO EV. This bike is priced at Rs 13.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The new electric SUV replaces the outgoing XUV400 EV. Interestingly, this launch comes just a day after the debut of the XUV 7XO, clearly highlighting Mahindra’s aggressive strategy in both ICE and EV segments.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO EV is based on the updated sub-four-metre XUV 3XO platform. However, it carries several EV-specific design touches. For instance, rose gold inserts on the grille and unique EV badges help it stand apart. In addition, the SUV gets new diamond-cut alloy wheels and an EV charging port placed on the left front fender.
Perhaps more eye-catching is the red colour option, which comes with exclusive red accents on the air dam. It has LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, fog lights, and signature tail lamps, which enhance its premium appeal.
Step inside, and the XUV 3XO EV feels tech-focused and comfortable. It offers twin 10.25-inch HD screens for infotainment and instrumentation. Moreover, the cabin features soft-touch leatherette trims on the dashboard and doors.
In addition, Mahindra has equipped the SUV with Level 2 ADAS, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, and Auto Emergency Braking. Apart from this, the car gets a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, auto-dimming IRVM, wireless smartphone connectivity, and a Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO EV has a 39.4 kWh battery pack paired with a single front-mounted electric motor. This setup produces 147 bhp and 310 Nm of torque, which delivers a strong performance for city and highway driving.
However, what truly stands out is its claimed 285 km real-world range. The SUV also offers three drive modes: Fun, Fast, and Fearless, which allow drivers to choose based on driving conditions. Notably, it can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 8.3 seconds, which makes it one of the quickest in its segment.
The XUV 3XO EV is available in AX5 and AX7L variants. While the AX5 starts at Rs 13.89 lakh, the top-spec AX7L is priced at Rs 14.96 lakh. Deliveries are set to begin on 23 February 2026. You can also opt for a 7.2kW fast charger at extra cost.
In the market, the XUV 3XO EV goes up against the Tata Nexon EV. However, Mahindra’s sharp pricing and rich feature list could give it a strong edge.
