Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Teased: New Triple Screen Dashboard Revealed

Mahindra has teased the upcoming BE 6 Sporteq, which will launch in India on August 15. The new variant gets a redesigned dashboard and centre console.

The biggest change is a new triple screen setup similar to the XEV 9e and XEV 9S. The cabin will also get a black and tan colour theme.

Mahindra is expected to retain the BE 6’s existing battery options and mechanical setup. Pricing and the complete equipment list will be announced on August 15.

Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Gets Triple Screen Dashboard

The teaser shows a visibly different cabin compared with the current Mahindra BE 6. The new dashboard appears cleaner, with the central spine removed. The triple screen arrangement is similar to Mahindra’s other electric SUVs. It is expected to separate driver information, infotainment and passenger functions.

The Mahindra car will also get redesigned air conditioning vents. These slim horizontal vents stretch across the dashboard and meet the door panels.

The cabin is expected to feature a black and tan colour theme. Soft touch dashboard materials and seat branding or stitching will add visual changes.

Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq: Exterior Design

The teaser does not show major exterior changes for the BE 6 Sporteq. The SUV appears to retain its existing sharp design.

Key exterior elements include:

• C shaped LED daytime running lights
• Full LED headlamps
• LED tail lamps
• Integrated roof spoiler
• Matte grey or silver finish with a gloss black roof

Mahindra has not confirmed whether the Sporteq will receive different alloy wheels.

Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq: Battery Options And Performance

The BE 6 Sporteq is unlikely to receive mechanical changes. It will continue with the existing battery options.

Both versions use a rear mounted electric motor. Mahindra had earlier indicated a possible 70kWh battery option, but its availability remains unclear.

What It Means For Buyers

The Sporteq mainly brings cabin and design changes rather than mechanical upgrades. This could give buyers another BE 6 option without changing its core electric powertrain.

It will compete in the premium electric SUV space against models such as the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric and MG ZS EV.

With this launch, Mahindra aims to expand its strengths in the Indian electric SUV market.
