Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG Scores 5-Star Bharat NCAP Safety Rating

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. has officially announced that its newly launched XUV 3XO ZNG has achieved a prestigious 5-star safety rating. From the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat NCAP), the newly launched CNG variant of XUV 3XO has achieved this rating. So, from this accomplishment, XUV 3XO ZNG becomes the very first sub-compact CNG SUV in India to secure a full 5-star safety crash rating.

The news comes shortly after the commercial debut of the XUV 3XO ZNG in October 2026, further strengthening the safety legacy of the XUV 3XO lineup. Earlier, the same model name has previously earned its 5-star Bharat NCAP rating in November 2024, now making the whole model lineup very very safe.

Bharat NCAP Crash Test Scores & Dedicated CNG Safety

The Mahindra XUV 3XO ZNG posted impressive performance numbers across all crash test parameters evaluated by Bharat NCAP. The SUV scored 29.36 out of 32 points for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 45 out of 49 points for Child Occupant Protection (COP).

Beyond structural integrity, Mahindra has integrated specialized CNG safety systems to ensure complete peace of mind. The vehicle features built-in gas-leak detection technology that automatically switches the fuel mode from CNG to petrol the moment a leakage is detected. Additionally, over 35 safety features come standard across the range, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and ISOFIX child-seat anchors.
