New Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG Launched: Check Price and Key Details

Mahindra & Mahindra launched the XUV 3XO ZNG in India on October 15, 2026, with prices starting at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex showroom). The new compact SUV targets buyers seeking lower running costs without giving up turbo petrol performance.

It delivers 200 Nm of torque and a claimed efficiency of 24.7 km/kg. Bookings and deliveries will begin on October 20, while test drives start immediately. The SUV also gets twin CNG cylinders beneath the luggage area to retain usable boot space.

Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG Price and Variants

The XUV 3XO ZNG is available in four variants. Here are their prices:

• MX Edge: Rs 9.99 lakh
• REVX Edge (O): Rs 10.79 lakh
• AX5: Rs 11.19 lakh
• REVX A: Rs 12.27 lakh

All prices are ex showroom. Buyers should account for insurance, registration and local charges when calculating the final on road cost.

Engine, Performance and Mileage

The Mahindra car uses a 1.2 litre turbocharged engine producing 82 kW and 200 Nm in both CNG and petrol modes. Mahindra claims this is the highest torque among CNG passenger vehicles in India.

The SUV accelerates from 0-60 km/h in 4.9 seconds in CNG mode. Its certified fuel efficiency stands at 24.7 km/kg. When CNG runs low, the system automatically switches to petrol.

For buyers covering long distances every month, this setup could help reduce fuel expenses. However, actual efficiency will depend on traffic, driving style and road conditions.

Features, Boot Space and Safety

The entry level MX Edge gets a 26.03 cm touchscreen, cruise control, rear AC vents and a 60:40 split rear seat. Higher variants add features such as a Skyroof, dual HD screens, a digital instrument cluster and dual zone climate control.

The twin cylinder layout sits beneath the luggage area, leaving a flat loading floor and 270 litres of usable boot space. The spare wheel remains mounted underneath the body.

Safety equipment includes six airbags, Electronic Stability Control and ISOFIX child seat mounts across all variants. A gas leak detection system can also switch the vehicle to petrol mode if it detects a leak.

Rivals and Booking Details

The XUV 3XO ZNG enters a segment that includes the Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Hyundai Exter. Buyers should compare their fuel options, prices and equipment before deciding.

Test drives start on October 15, while bookings and deliveries begin on October 20, 2026. Bookings will be available through authorised Mahindra dealerships and the company's official website.
