Skoda Kylaq Sportline Launched in India at Rs 11.32 Lakh

Skoda Auto India has expanded its compact SUV lineup with the launch of the sportline edition of Kylaq. Positioned between the mid-spec Signature Plus and top-spec Prestige variants, this new trim adds a sportier aesthetic to the brand’s best-selling model. The model is available in both manual as well as automatic transmission.

Exterior Styling and Interior Enhancements

The Sportline trim focuses heavily on visual upgrades, incorporating dark-themed elements inside and out to deliver a more aggressive road presence.

Key cosmetic and equipment highlights include:

• Exterior Package: Deep Black dual-tone floating roof, glossy black front/rear diffusers, and 17-inch black alloy wheels.
• Lighting & Accents: LED projector headlights, Deep Black ORVMs, a rear spoiler, and dedicated Sportline badging.
• Cabin Ambience: Dark interior theme across the dashboard, aluminium pedals, and leatherette seats with contrast stitching.

Engine Specifications and Transmission Options

The Kylaq Sportline retains the existing 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol powertrain, offering both manual and automatic gearbox options.

Unlike its larger siblings, the Slavia and Kushaq, the Kylaq Sportline continues to use the 6-speed torque converter unit rather than the newer 8-speed automatic transmission.

Customization and Market Positioning

Skoda also offers a dedicated Sportline accessory pack for additional personalization. This pack includes dark chrome front grille garnishes, glossy black body side mouldings and unique fender garnishes.

The Sportline variant strengthens the Kylaq’s positioning in the sub-four-metre SUV segment. It directly competes with high-spec trims of the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Hyundai Venue.

The Kylaq Sportline allows Skoda to target buyers looking for a distinct, sport-focused design without paying for top-tier luxury trims.
