BMW has expanded the X3 lineup in India with the launch of the new range-topping 30 xDrive M Sport Pro variant. It is priced at Rs. 74.50 lakh (ex-showroom). The new trim sits above the existing petrol version and matches the diesel model in pricing. In addition, the SUV comes as a locally assembled offering, which may help the brand maintain competitive positioning in the luxury midsize SUV segment.
This version is a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine tuned to produce 258bhp and 400Nm of torque. The motor works with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, while a 48-volt mild-hybrid system assists efficiency and smooth acceleration. New BMW X3 also includes its xDrive all-wheel-drive system as standard. As a result, the SUV can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just over six seconds. This makes it the quickest petrol X3 currently sold in the country.
Sportier Styling Tweaks

Visually, the new trim brings several design upgrades that separate it from the lower variants. For instance, it receives an illuminated kidney grille with dark inserts, which gives the front a more distinctive look at night. The headlamps and tail lamps also carry a smoked finish, perhaps to underline the sporty theme.
The SUV rides on larger 20-inch alloy wheels, replacing the 19-inch units seen on other trims. Furthermore, red brake callipers, gloss-black roof rails, and a revised rear bumper with a diffuser enhance the athletic appearance. Buyers can choose from multiple paint shades, including a new Brooklyn Grey option introduced for the model line.
Cabin Focuses on Comfort, Tech, & Premium Feel

Inside, the layout remains familiar, and the trim introduces subtle upgrades. The dashboard now uses softer materials with a leather-like finish, while M-specific seat belts add a sporty touch. Buyers can pick dual-tone interior themes depending on the exterior colour.
The feature list remains extensive. Its highlights include a panoramic glass roof, a curved display setup with a large touchscreen and digital driver display, a heads-up display, and a 15-speaker audio system from Harman Kardon. In addition, the powered and ventilated front sport seats, a 360-degree camera, and three-zone climate control improve everyday comfort.
The safety features of the car include multiple airbags, stability control, electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and Level-2 driver assistance features. These additions aim to keep the SUV competitive in a segment where technology plays a key role.
Continues Rivalry in the Premium Midsize SUV Space
The new flagship petrol X3 will continue to compete with established rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5, Volvo XC60, Lexus NX, and the Range Rover Evoque. Overall, the 30 xDrive M Sport Pro focuses on stronger petrol performance, added visual flair, and a richer feature set.
