Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift Spied With Fresh Design: Here’s What Buyers Can Expect
Google News

The Toyota Innova Hycross facelift has been spotted testing on Indian roads. It gives buyers an early look at the updated MPV before its expected launch in 2027.
Spy images surfaced this week show Toyota working on a refreshed front-end design, revised lighting, and subtle styling changes. The company has retained the successful formula of the current model.
The update matters because the Innova Hycross is one of India's most popular premium family MPVs. The facelift could make it more appealing without changing its proven petrol and strong-hybrid powertrains.
Toyota Innova Hycross facelift: A New Look
Although the test vehicle was heavily camouflaged, a few changes were easy to spot. The front fascia appears to borrow styling cues from Toyota's latest Hilux. It gets a squarer grille, slimmer headlights, and a redesigned front bumper. The bumper also seems to feature new pixel-style LED fog lamps positioned higher than before.
At the rear, Toyota is expected to introduce revised LED tail-lights connected by a trim piece. However, the side profile looks largely unchanged. The alloy wheel design also appears similar to the current model.
Toyota Innova Hycross facelift: Cabin and Features
The interior has not been fully revealed yet. However, reports suggest Toyota could refresh the cabin with new upholstery and updated trim materials. It could also get a more modern finish. Another test mule spotted recently hinted at a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a revised dashboard layout. However, Toyota has not confirmed these details.
For buyers, these upgrades could improve the everyday ownership experience. They would not change the MPV's spacious cabin and family-friendly practicality.

Powertrain Likely to Remain Unchanged
- Toyota is expected to retain the existing engine options.
- The lineup will likely continue with a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine.
- This petrol engine will remain paired with a CVT automatic gearbox.
- The 2.0-litre strong-hybrid petrol powertrain is also expected to continue.
- The hybrid version will remain mated to an e-CVT transmission.
- No major mechanical changes have been spotted so far.
What This Means for Buyers
If you are planning to buy an Innova Hycross in the coming months, the facelift may be worth waiting for. This is especially true if updated styling and cabin improvements matter to you. However, buyers who need a new MPV immediately are unlikely to miss out on major mechanical upgrades. Toyota is expected to continue with the same reliable engines and hybrid system.
The refreshed model is likely to launch in early 2027. It will help Toyota strengthen the Innova Hycross's position against rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki Invicto, Kia Carens Clavis, and Mahindra XUV 7XO. The updated MPV is expected to remain a strong choice for buyers seeking a spacious family vehicle with a fuel-efficient hybrid powertrain.
The Innova Hycross isn't the only model getting an update, check out the Maruti Brezza Facelift.
