Audi has officially unveiled the third-generation Q7 luxury SUV, more than a decade after the previous model first arrived in global markets. The new Q7 comes with a completely redesigned exterior, updated interiors, advanced driver-assistance systems, and powerful engine options. Built on the Volkswagen Group’s Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) architecture, the latest Q7 is expected to strengthen Audi’s position in the luxury SUV segment.
New Design Gives the Q7 a Stronger Road Presence
The third-generation Audi Q7 features a bold new design inspired by the brand’s latest SUVs. At the front, it gets split LED headlights with slim pixel-style daytime running lamps positioned above the Matrix LED headlamps. A large Audi grille dominates the front fascia, while revised bumpers and a more upright stance give the SUV a bold appearance.
The side profile features large alloy wheels ranging from 20 inches to 23 inches, body-coloured cladding, and a cleaner design. At the rear, the SUV gets connected OLED tail-lamps, an illuminated Audi logo, and a full-width light bar. Also, the car has introduced advanced lighting technology that can project turn indicators onto the ground and display warning signals for nearby road users.
Premium Interior With Triple-Screen Setup
Inside, the new Audi Q7 receives a completely redesigned cabin with a modern triple-screen dashboard layout. The SUV features a curved display setup that combines the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. Premium materials such as leather upholstery and wood trim enhance the luxury feel of the cabin.
Other key features include ambient lighting, a 22-speaker Bang & Olufsen 4D sound system, panoramic sunroof, dual wireless charging pads, and a 360-degree camera. The Q7 will be available in both five-seat and seven-seat configurations, with captain seats offered for the second row on selected versions.
Powerful Engines and Smart Driving Features
Audi will offer the new Q7 with multiple engine options. The standard diesel variant uses a 3.0-litre V6 engine producing up to 299 hp and 630 Nm of torque, paired with a mild-hybrid system. A 2.9-litre V6 petrol engine is also available. Both versions come with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system as standard.
For performance enthusiasts, the Audi SQ7 is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 engine producing up to 600 PS. The high-performance SUV can accelerate from 0-97 km/h in just 3.7 seconds.
The new Q7 also gets several advanced technologies, including all-wheel steering, adaptive air suspension, electronically controlled damping, and autonomous parking functions. Along with a system that can safely stop the vehicle and call emergency services if the driver becomes unresponsive. Audi is expected to introduce the third-generation Q7 in India at a later stage.
