Skoda Kushaq Gets Price Hike in India Ahead of Upcoming Facelift
Google News

Skoda Auto India has started the new year with a fresh round of price updates across its model range. After revising prices for its entry-level Kylaq, the company has now increased prices for the Skoda Kushaq. This mid-size SUV, which competes with popular models like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, now costs slightly more across all variants. However, Skoda continues to position the Kushaq as a strong option for buyers looking for performance, safety, and European styling.
Skoda Kushaq Price Increase Details
The Skoda Kushaq has received a price hike ranging from Rs. 4,897 to Rs. 6,862, depending on the chosen variant. While the increase may seem small, it applies across the entire variant lineup. With this revision, the Kushaq is now priced between Rs. 10.66 lakh and Rs. 18.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
In addition, this price adjustment follows a trend seen across the auto industry at the beginning of the year. Rising input costs, updated supplier pricing, and inflation are often the main reasons behind such increases. Perhaps this is why several car manufacturers have also announced similar price hikes recently. However, Skoda has ensured that the Kushaq continues to offer competitive features for its segment.
Engine Options and Performance
Skoda Kushaq retains the same engine options. One can have the 1.0 TSI petrol engine or the 1.5 TSI petrol engine, which has higher power output. While the 1.0 TSI engine provides good fuel performance, the 1.5 TSI engine has better power output.
Both engines offer various transmission options. Buyers can opt for both manual and automatic variants based on their requirements and usage patterns. Furthermore, Skoda’s turbo-petrol engines are famous for their fluent transmission of power and are quite soothing for both urban and road drives.
Facelift on the Horizon
Interestingly, this is the first update in its prices after quite a while. This price update is coming at a time when Skoda is all set to launch the Kushaq facelift. It is believed that Skoda will reveal this new model at the end of this month. Although there is very little clarity available at present, it is believed that this new model would come up with a few cosmetic and technical upgrades. However, its engine would remain the same.
