New 2026 Renault Duster: What Does it Offer?
The new Duster blends rugged SUV styling with modern technology and India specific updates.
Exterior Design
The 2026 Renault Duster adopts a bold design inspired by the Bigster concept.
- At the front, Y shaped LED daytime running lights frame the face of the SUV.
- Sleek LED headlamps sit beside a chrome accented grille featuring Renault’s updated logo.
- The muscular bonnet is with aggressive scoops, large air intakes, and integrated fog lamps.
It features squared wheel arches, protective body cladding, functional roof rails, and dual-tone alloy wheels on its sides. At the rear, it has V shaped LED tail lamps, a roof spoiler and a rear skid plate. The India spec model stands out with a full width connected LED tail lamp bar, a feature not offered on global versions.
Interior Features and Cabin Experience
Inside, the new Renault Duster follows a rugged yet modern cabin layout.
- Y shaped air conditioning vents are linked into the dashboard to give the interior a unique look.
- A 10.1 inch touchscreen infotainment system is at the centre of the dashboard.
- The system supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
A 7 inch digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel displays essential driving information clearly. Automatic climate control maintains cabin comfort while wireless phone charging reduces cable clutter. Ventilated seats for the driver and passengers also enhance their experience.
The new Duster also features an Arkamys 3D sound system with six speakers for an immersive listening experience.
What about Safety and Off Road Capabilities?
The Duster’s European spec version comes with advanced safety and assistance systems including automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection. It also features traffic sign recognition, lane change warning, assist and rear parking assistance.
For off road driving, 4×4 variants feature Terrain Control with five modes, hill descent control and 217 mm ground clearance. They also offer a 31 degree approach angle and a 36 degree departure angle. Off road data is displayed on the infotainment screen.
Engine Options for India
Renault offers 3 types of engines globally including:
- 1.2-litre three cylinder turbo petrol with mild hybrid assistance.
- 1.0-litre three cylinder turbo bi fuel (petrol LPG).
- 1.6-litre strong hybrid with two electric motors and a 1.2 kWh battery.
However, India will initially get petrol only engines, likely including:
- 1.3-litre turbo petrol producing around 156 hp
- 1.2-litre mild hybrid petrol
These engine types are expected to include both manual and automatic transmissions. In addition, higher trims may get a 4×4 drivetrain and hybrid versions could arrive later.
