Hyundai has had a strong run in 2025, with models like the Creta, Venue, and Exter helping the brand grow its presence in India. However, the company is not slowing down. In fact, Hyundai is preparing a fresh wave of SUVs and updates to keep its lineup modern and competitive. Here is a look at the upcoming Hyundai SUVs that buyers should watch out for.
The Exter has done well since its launch, especially among first-time buyers. With the facelift, Hyundai is expected to make small but noticeable changes to the front design, including updated lights and a revised grille. Inside, the cabin may get feature upgrades such as a larger infotainment screen and a 360-degree camera.
In addition, the Exter will continue with the same 1.2-litre petrol and petrol-CNG engines, paired with manual and automatic gearboxes. Prices are likely to go up slightly, and the facelift could arrive by early or mid-2026.
Hyundai is also planning to bring its global flagship SUV, the Palisade, to India. This large three-row SUV stands out due to its bold styling and strong road presence. Moreover, it will offer premium features like advanced driver assistance systems, ventilated seats, and a panoramic sunroof.
Globally, the Palisade comes with petrol and hybrid options, along with all-wheel drive. If launched in India, it will target buyers considering high-end SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner. Pricing is expected to be on the higher side, with a launch likely in 2027.
The Inster EV will be the cheapest EV SUV from Hyundai in the Indian market. It has a box-type design and a helpful interior space, given its compact size. Moreover, it is going to provide features like a digital panel, sunroof, and assistive technology as well.
With the availability of two variants for the battery type and an average range, the Inster EV may have some attraction for city buyers. Its launch is expected around 2027.
The Bayon is a sub-4m SUV and has already been spotted testing in India. The car will come in between the Venue and the Creta and will feature common interiors in both models. The most notable feature in the Bayon is the implementation of the turbo-petrol engine. Hyundai is expected to unveil the Bayon in the mid-year of 2026 to compete with the Tata Nexon and Maruti Fronx models.
Finally, facelifts of the Ioniq 5 and Tucson models from the Hyundai brand are underway. The facelift of the Ioniq 5 will offer design upgrades, new features, and possibly an increased range. Yet, the silhouette will be unchanged.
On the other hand, the Tucson facelift model is expected to upgrade its designs as per the demand of the Indian audience. Hyundai has promised to relaunch it by 2026, but its cost will still be in the premium segment. In essence, the new SUV models by Hyundai appear to revolve around filling all market segments, ranging from budget-friendly EVs to luxurious full-size SUVs.
