New Audi Q3 India Launch Confirmed For October 16

The third-generation Audi Q3 will launch in India on October 16, 2026, with prices expected to start around Rs 55 lakh (ex-showroom). The India-spec model debuted in August and will replace the second-generation Q3, which has been on sale in India for around four years. The new-generation SUV brings significant changes to its exterior design, cabin layout and equipment list.

The new Q3 will be offered with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system. Bookings for the SUV have already opened in India ahead of its launch.

New Audi Q3 Expected Price And Rivals

The new Audi Q3 is expected to be priced between Rs 55 lakh and Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom). This would make it considerably more expensive than the outgoing model, which is currently priced from Rs 43.67 lakh to Rs 53 lakh.

The SUV will continue to compete with established luxury SUVs in the segment. Its key rivals will include the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA and Mini Countryman.

New Q3 To Get 2.0-Litre Turbo-Petrol Engine 

The new Q3 will be powered exclusively by a 2.0-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine. While Audi has not confirmed the India-spec output, it is expected to produce 204hp and 320Nm.

Power will be sent through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox to all four wheels via the Quattro AWD system. Quattro is expected to be standard across the Q3 range, while a diesel engine is not planned for the new-generation SUV.

Exterior Gets Split Headlamps

The third-generation Q3 features a redesigned exterior, with the split headlamp setup and configurable DRLs being the most noticeable changes. The profile and rear also get revised detailing, including new alloy wheels, lighting elements and exterior trim.

The cabin gets a completely redesigned dashboard featuring a dual-screen setup for the digital driver's display and infotainment system. Other notable elements include a four-spoke steering wheel and a steering column-mounted gear selector.

Audi Q3 Bookings Already Open

Audi India has already commenced bookings for the new Q3 ahead of its launch. The SUV made its India debut in August 2026, giving buyers an early look at the third-generation model before its market launch.

The October 16 event will reveal the variant-wise equipment, final specifications and other India-specific details. The Q3 will then enter the market as Audi’s latest offering in the entry-level luxury SUV segment.
