
Passenger vehicle (PV) sales saw a strong recovery compared to the previous year, reaching 394,768 units with a 26.12% increase from 313,015 units in the same period last year. The growth was driven by improved vehicle availability and consistent consumer demand. However, in MoM sales, the segment saw a 23.12% decline in sales.

Maruti Suzuki sold 154,095 units during the month, showing a 28.40% increase compared to 120,010 units last year. Strong demand for entry-level and compact models helped support the company’s overall performance.
Tata Motors recorded sales of 56,447 units during the month. In February 2025, Tata sold 39,502 units, marking a 42.90% growth. Continued demand for SUVs and growing interest in electric vehicles helped support overall sales volumes.
Mahindra sold 53,281 units during the month, achieving a 25.62% year-on-year growth. Its market share also declined by 0.39%. Strong bookings for its SUV models continued to drive overall deliveries.
Hyundai sold 45,615 units in February, marking a 15.87% increase over 39,368 units last year. However, the company’s market share declined by 8.13%. Steady demand for premium hatchbacks and SUVs continued to support the company’s growth.
In February 2025, Toyota sold 23,283 units, while this year, 26,392 units were sold, recording a 13.35% increase compared to last year. The demand for hybrid vehicles and MPVs continued to support sales.
Kia India recorded sales of 25,031 units in February 2026, posting a 28.50% YoY growth from 19,479 units last year. Its SUV models like Seltos & Sonet continued to be the main contributors to overall volumes.
The group sold 7,615 units in February 2026, including 7,566 units from Skoda Auto Volkswagen India, 32 from Volkswagen India, 10 from Audi, and 7 from Skoda Auto India. Sales grew 12.37% year-on-year from last year’s 6,777 units.
Honda sold 4,774 units in February 2026, recording a 10.83% decline compared to 5,354 units last year. Moreover, its market share declined by 29.30%. Demand remained stable for its sedans and compact SUV models.
MG Motor sold 4,548 units in February 2026, showing a 6.15% year-on-year decline. Limited supply and ongoing model transitions impacted overall sales volumes.
In February 2026, Renault sold 3,248 units, recording a strong 27.52% year-on-year growth, supported by its affordable offerings. On the other hand, Nissan sold 1,622 units during the month, posting a modest 7.16% degrowth compared to last year.
BMW sold 1,216 units in February 2026, recording a 0.66% year-on-year growth during the month. Meanwhile, in Feb 2026, Mercedes-Benz sold 1,371 units, including 1,275 units from Mercedes-Benz India, 95 from Mercedes-Benz AG, and 1 additional unit, marking a 4.98% annual growth. Overall, demand for luxury vehicles remained mixed across regions.
