BYD SEALION 7 Dynamic Launched At Rs 41.90 Lakh: Range, Battery And Features

BYD India introduced the SEALION 7 Dynamic on August 20, adding a new entry variant to its premium electric SUV lineup. The new variant is priced at Rs 41.90 lakh, ex showroom.

The BYD car uses a 71.8 kWh Blade Battery and offers a claimed 520 km NEDC range. The Dynamic can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.3 seconds. BYD has added the variant to offer more choice for buyers entering the SEALION 7 range.

BYD SEALION 7 Dynamic Range

The Dynamic variant uses BYD’s dedicated e Platform 3.0. It combines the brand’s Ocean Aesthetics design with several technology and safety features.

The 71.8 kWh Blade Battery provides the claimed 520 km NEDC range. The SUV can reach 100 kmph from a standstill in 7.3 seconds.

The SEALION 7 Dynamic is available in four colour options:

• Atlantis Grey
• Cosmos Black
• Aurora White
• Shark Grey

With the new variant, the SEALION 7 range now includes Dynamic, Premium, and Performance versions.

SEALION 7 Dynamic Features And Technology

BYD has equipped the Dynamic with several features aimed at daily driving and passenger comfort.

Key features include:

• Panoramic glass roof
• Rotating touchscreen infotainment system
• Cell to Body technology
• Intelligence Torque Adaptation Control
• Blade Battery
• Safety and driver assistance technologies

The wider SEALION 7 range offers either a 71.8 kWh or 82.56 kWh Blade Battery. This gives buyers different options based on their driving needs.

BYD SEALION 7 Dynamic Offers

The new variant also comes under BYD India’s ongoing festive offers. The company started these offers on August 1, 2026. Buyers of the Dynamic can get a complimentary 7kW home charger with installation. The offer also includes a 10 year RSA coverage extension.

Customers can also get an extended LFP LV battery warranty. It covers 10 years or 1.5 lakh km, whichever comes earlier.

Rajeev Chauhan On Expanding The SEALION 7 Lineup 

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicle Business, BYD India, said, “The strategic expansion is a direct response to the tremendous success and overwhelming customer interest in the existing BYD SEALION 7 variants. BYD SEALION 7 Rivals And Customer Demand

The SEALION 7 competes in India’s premium electric SUV space. It rivals the Tesla Model Y, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. It has been on sale in India since 2025 and has more than 4,000 units operating across the country.

The SEALION 7 Dynamic adds a lower entry point to BYD’s premium electric SUV range. Its long range and powerful battery target buyers who are looking for a car with daily usability.
