BMW Group India Witnesses Strong Demand for the MINI Convertible
The all-new MINI Convertible has created a strong buzz in India. Within just 24 hours of its launch on December 12, 2025, the first batch sold out completely. This quick response clearly shows how much Indian buyers love stylish and fun-to-drive cars. The MINI Convertible comes at an ex-showroom price of ₹58.5 lakh and arrives in India as a fully imported model.
Bookings Open Again for 2026 Deliveries
BMW Group India confirmed that due to the fast sell-out, bookings are now open for the next delivery phase. However, customers will need to wait, as deliveries for the new batch will begin in early 2026. Perhaps this waiting period will only increase excitement among buyers who want something different and premium.
Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO of BMW Group India, shared his thoughts on the response. “He said the quick sell-out proves that customers connect deeply with MINI’s design and its fun driving feel. In addition, he highlighted that MINI continues to attract people who enjoy a bold and joyful driving experience.”
Stylish Look with a Fast-Opening Soft Top
The MINI Convertible S stands out with LED headlights that offer three unique light patterns. It also rides on 18-inch aerodynamically designed wheels, which add to its sporty look. The black soft top opens fully in just 18 seconds and closes in 15 seconds. Moreover, it can work like a sunroof and open up to 40 cm at any speed.
Digital Cabin with Voice Control
Inside, the car features a round OLED display called the MINI Interaction Unit. This single screen works as both the instrument cluster and the main display. In addition, the MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant allows drivers to use voice commands. The MINI Digital Key Plus lets owners unlock and start the car using their smartphone.
Powerful Petrol Engine with Sporty Performance
The MINI Convertible uses a petrol engine with MINI TwinPower Turbo technology. It produces 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque. As a result, the car goes from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 240 km/h. Furthermore, features like a Head-up Display and Harman Kardon sound system improve comfort and driving pleasure.
Interested buyers can visit authorised MINI dealerships across India to book the next delivery slot.
