Volkswagen Tayron R-Line Launched in India at Rs. 46.99 Lakh

Volkswagen has officially launched its SUV, Tayron R-Line in India with a starting price of ₹46.99 lakh. The premium SUV is the new flagship car of Volkswagen in India, considered a larger, 3-row version of Tiguan. Not following its 5-seater sibling Tiguan’s path, which was imported, this brand-new VW car will be assembled domestically. The local assembly at the Aurangabad plant will allow more competitive pricing in the premium segment.

Performance and Dimensions

The Tayron R-Line is developed on the MQB EVO platform and has similar powertrain features like the Skoda Kodiaq. The German efficiency is combined with practical usage to form this seven-seater vehicle.

With local assembly now underway, the Tayron is set to strengthen VW's presence in the luxury SUV territory.
