VinFast to Launch VF MPV 7 in India on April 15: Bookings Open at ₹21,000
Google News

VinFast has officially announced the launch of its first electric Multi-Purpose Vehicle for the Indian market, the VF MPV 7. The Vietnamese automaker has scheduled the official launch for April 15, 2026. This marks the brand’s third major product introduction in India, following the VF6 and VF7 SUVs.
The company has opened bookings for the 7-seater electric vehicle with a token amount of ₹21,000. Customers can reserve the vehicle through the official website or across the brand's growing network of 50 dealerships nationwide.
Strategic Dual-Branding and Design
VinFast is employing a dual-branding strategy to capture two distinct market segments. The 'VF MPV 7' is positioned as a premium 7-seater for private buyers. On the other hand, a specialized 'Limo Green' version will be dedicated to the fleet and commercial sector.
The vehicle measures 4,740 mm in length with a 2,840 mm wheelbase. This positions it as a direct competitor to upcoming electric three-row models like the BYD eMax 7 and the Kia Carens EV. The exterior maintains VinFast’s signature design language, characterized by full-width LED light bars and a minimalist, SUV-inspired silhouette.

Performance, Battery, and Charging
The VF MPV 7 is engineered for both urban commuting and long-distance travel. For this, it features a high-capacity battery pack and competitive charging speeds.
- Battery Capacity: Equipped with a 60.13 kWh battery pack.
- Performance: The front-mounted motor generates 204 hp and 280 Nm of torque.
- Range: Delivers a claimed range of approximately 450 km (NEDC cycle).
- Fast Charging: Supports up to 80 kW DC fast charging, capable of a 10% to 70% charge in roughly 30 minutes.
- Warranty: VinFast is offering a 10-year battery warranty to instill long-term consumer confidence.
The introduction of the VF MPV 7 signifies VinFast’s intent to secure an early foothold in India’s nascent electric MPV segment. By catering to both private families and fleet operators, the company is addressing a gap for high-capacity, zero-emission transport. As the launch date approaches, the industry's focus remains on the final pricing strategy, which will determine how effectively VinFast can compete.
