Toyota Glanza Facelift Likely to Debut on October 14: What We Know So Far
Google News

The Toyota Glanza facelift is likely to debut in India on October 14, according to sources. The launch could happen around a month after the updated Maruti Suzuki Baleno came to the market.
Toyota is expected to bring styling changes, new features and a new petrol engine. The updated hatchback will continue competing with the Maruti Baleno, Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20. The Glanza could also get features focused on comfort, safety and everyday convenience.
Toyota Glanza Facelift: Expected Exterior Changes
The Glanza facelift is expected to retain its current overall design. However, Toyota could give the hatchback a redesigned grille and a different front bumper. The lighting elements and 16 inch alloy wheels could remain unchanged. The rear bumper is also expected to continue with the current design.
Toyota is likely to retain projector LED headlights on the updated Glanza. This should help maintain a visual difference from the Baleno.
Key expected exterior updates:
- Redesigned front grille
- Different front bumper
- Projector LED headlights
- 16 inch alloy wheels
- Largely unchanged rear design
New Features Expected Inside Glanza
The cabin design is expected to remain largely unchanged. However, Toyota could add several features introduced with the updated Baleno. The major additions could include Level 2 ADAS and ventilated front seats. The ADAS package could offer up to eight driver assistance functions.
These may include automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control. Auto high beam assist could also be part of the package.
The Toyota car could also get a ventilated wireless phone charging pad. A tyre pressure monitoring system and Clarion tuned speakers are also expected. A sunroof and digital driver's display are not expected with the facelift.
New 1.2 Litre Engine Expected
The biggest mechanical change could be under the bonnet. Toyota is expected to replace the current 1.2 litre four cylinder engine. The facelift could use the new 1.2 litre three cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. It produces 83hp and 112Nm in the Baleno.
The engine is expected with a five speed manual and five speed AMT. A CNG option could also be offered with a manual gearbox. The CNG version could produce 70hp and focus on lower running costs. Fuel efficiency could also improve by up to 6%.
Expected Price
Toyota could price the facelift at a slight premium over the current model. The existing Glanza costs Rs 6.73 lakh to Rs 9.99 lakh (ex showroom).
The updated model will continue targeting buyers seeking a premium hatchback, and it could bring useful changes without altering the basic package. The new engine and additional features could be its biggest updates.
The final price, feature list and specifications will become clearer closer to the expected October 14 debut.
The updated Baleno is already on sale with multiple variants and powertrain options; check the Baleno facelift variant-wise price details for a complete breakdown.
