
Tata Nexon has emerged as the top selling car in the February 2026 sales rankings, maintaining its market reputation. This is the second consecutive time the compact SUV has topped the national sales chart, consolidating its position in the Indian automaker’s portfolio. Another car of the same brand - Tata Punch, factualized that two of the top-three selling cars belong to Tata Motors.
The Tata Nexon registered 19,430 unit sales in February 2026, narrowly leaving behind the Maruti Suzuki Dzire. The growth reflects demand for the Nexon's diverse powertrain variants, offering in internal combustion engine (ICE), EV and CNG types.

Overall, Tata Motors reported a 35% YoY increase in total sales. This means for February 2026, total sales reached 63,331 units compared to 46,811 units in February 2025. The company’s electric vehicle division also saw a significant surge, with EV sales rising 57% year-on-year to 8,385 units.
The increased sales represent Tata Motors’s trust among the buyers and its strong strategy. For Tata Nexon, it has remained in buzz since its launch in 2023. From a starting price of 7.32 lakh (ex-showroom), this Tata passenger vehicle gives many features that its audience desires.
