Skoda Auto India has officially increased the prices of its flagship SUV - the Kodiaq, by up to Rs. 53,267. This price revision, effective immediately, affects select variants while leaving the entry-level pricing unchanged.
Variant-Wise Pricing and Future Outlook
The price hike specifically impacts the higher-tier Sportline and L&K trims of the Kodiaq. While the base 'Lounge' variant maintains its competitive positioning, the luxury and performance-oriented versions now command a higher price. This move comes as Skoda prepares for a busy year of launches, including facelifts and new performance variants across its portfolio.
Key details of the price revision include:
- Base Pricing: The entry-level Lounge variant continues to be priced at Rs. 39.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
- Sportline Revision: The Sportline trim has seen an upward revision of Rs. 22,600, now retailing at Rs. 43.99 lakh.
- L&K Top-Spec: The range-topping L&K variant receives the highest hike of Rs. 53,267, concluding price to Rs. 46.49 lakh.
- Brand Strategy: Skoda's recent portfolio updates include the Kushaq facelift and new Kylaq variants. The Slavia facelift and Kodiaq RS are expected later this year.
The marginal price hike for the Kodiaq aligns with general industry trends and ensures the SUV maintains its premium offering. Despite the increase, the stable entry price for the Lounge variant suggests Skoda’s interest in the premium SUV segment. While it simultaneously gears up for high-performance arrivals like the Kodiaq RS in the coming months.
