Skoda Kodiaq 2026: Flagship SUV Gets Level 2 ADAS
Google News

Skoda Auto India has revealed the 2026 model year update for its flagship SUV, the Kodiaq. The most significant addition to the lineup is a comprehensive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite. Its adaptation makes the Kodiaq the first and currently the only Skoda model in India to offer these safety technologies. Alongside the safety upgrades, the manufacturer has also redistributed premium features across its mid-spec and top-tier variants.
ADAS Suite and Feature Redistribution
The 2026 update introduces seven key ADAS functions designed to enhance driver safety and vehicle automation. These features are available on the mid-spec Sportline and the range-topping Selection L&K trims. Furthermore, Skoda has expanded the availability of high-end cosmetic and convenience features that were previously exclusive to the top-spec variant.
Key updates include:
- Safety (ADAS): Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Side Assist (Blind Spot Detection), Frontal Assist with Warning and Braking. The Rear Traffic Alert, Adaptive Headlights and Exit Warning adds to the safety suite.
- Sportline Variant Enhancements: Now equipped with a 360-degree camera and the signature LED strip embedded in the front grille.
- Base Trim: The entry-level Lounge 5-seater variant remains unchanged in terms of features for this model year.
Powertrain and Technical Specifications
The 2026 Kodiaq remains mechanically identical to the outgoing model. It continues to utilize the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DSG) and an AWD system.

With the 2026 update, Skoda has addressed a critical gap in its flagship's equipment list by incorporating ADAS. This brings it on par with segment rivals like the Volkswagen Tayron R-line and Toyota Fortuner. By offering features like the 360-degree camera on the Sportline trim, Skoda is attempting to increase the value of its mid-range variants. The prices are yet to be officially finalized. Meanwhile, the update ensures the Kodiaq remains a technologically relevant contender in the premium SUV space.
