Tata Motors has officially revealed the full price list of its all-new Tata Sierra mid-size SUV. The price now starts at ₹11.49 lakh and goes up to ₹18.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The company earlier shared only the introductory price at the launch on November 25; however, it has now released detailed prices for most variants.
In addition, Tata Motors will open bookings from December 16, while customer deliveries will begin from January 15, 2026. With this launch, Tata aims to strengthen its position in the premium SUV space.
Tata Sierra Variant-Wise Pricing and Booking Plan
The Tata Sierra comes in Smart+, Pure, Pure+, Adventure, and Adventure+ variants. These trims fall under the current price range of ₹11.49 lakh to ₹18.49 lakh.
However, Tata Motors will soon add two more top variants, Accomplished and Accomplished+. The company will reveal its prices in the coming days or weeks.
- The Smart+ variant comes with only a manual gearbox
- All other variants offer manual and automatic options
As a result, buyers now get more flexibility while choosing their preferred Sierra model.
Engine Options and Transmission Choices
The Tata Sierra brings three powerful engine options for buyers:
Petrol Engines
- 1.5L Revotron naturally aspirated petrol
- 1.5L Hyperion turbo petrol
The Revotron engine offers 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCA automatic options. However, the Hyperion turbo petrol works only with a 6-speed automatic gearbox from Aisin.
Diesel Engine
- 1.5L Kryojet diesel engine
- Available with manual and automatic transmission
Therefore, Tata ensures strong performance for both city drives and highway runs.
Key Features and Safety Tech
The Tata Sierra offers many premium features as standard, such as:
- Push Button Start (PEPS)
- Electronic Parking Brake
- Powered Tailgate
- Six Airbags
- ESC (Electronic Stability Control)
- LED DRLs
In addition, these features improve both comfort and safety for daily users.
Production Plant and Market Growth
Tata Motors will manufacture the Sierra at its Sanand plant in Gujarat, which it acquired from Ford India. This move will help the company move closer to its full capacity target of 3.3 lakh units per year.
Meanwhile, India’s EV and auto retail market also show fast growth. The Indian EV market reached US$2 billion in 2023. Experts expect it to grow to US$7.09 billion by 2025. Perhaps this growth will support future electric versions of popular SUVs like the Sierra.
Tata Motors positions the new Sierra as a premium mid-size SUV with modern engines, strong safety, and fresh design. With competitive pricing and strong market demand, the Sierra may soon become a popular choice for Indian buyers.
