Skoda Auto India will open bookings for the Kodiaq RS on June 22, 2026. The performance SUV will arrive in a very limited first batch of just 50 units. It will be the first seven-seater SUV from Skoda in India to carry the RS badge, marking a new step for the brand’s performance lineup.
Limited Units and Import Details
The Kodiaq RS will come to India as a completely built unit (CBU), meaning it will be fully imported. Only 50 units have been allotted for the first batch due to strong global demand and limited supply. The company has said that import taxes and policy conditions also affect the number of units it can bring to India.
Skoda has also indicated that more units could be offered later if demand is strong. The RS badge also carries strong importance for Skoda, celebrating over 50 years globally, while the brand marks 125 years of motorsport heritage.
Statement from Skoda India
Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Skoda India, said:
“The RS badge represents over 50 years of global performance heritage and has built a strong following in India since the arrival of the Octavia RS more than two decades ago. He added that the latest Octavia RS, launched last year, was sold out in just 20 minutes, showing its cult-like demand among enthusiasts. The Kodiaq RS continues this legacy as the first-ever seven-seater RS model in India and will also be the quickest Skoda ever offered in the country.”
Engine, Performance and Driving Setup
The SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI Evo turbo-petrol engine producing 265 PS and 400 Nm of torque. This is a significant increase over the standard Kodiaq, offering 60 PS more power and 80 Nm extra torque.
It comes paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system. The Kodiaq RS can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 231 km/h, making it the fastest Skoda model planned for India.
Design, Features and Expected Price
The Kodiaq RS features sportier styling with blacked-out elements, RS badges, red brake callipers, and 20-inch alloy wheels. Inside, it gets an all-black cabin theme with red stitching, sport seats with integrated headrests, and RS branding across the interior.
Global features include LED Matrix headlamps, adaptive suspension, drive modes, a premium audio system, and a fully digital instrument cluster. The expected price of this SUV is between Rs. 50 lakh and Rs. 55 lakh (ex-showroom). There are some estimates going up to Rs. 60 lakh, as it will be a full import model.
