Nissan Tekton 7 Seater Spied: Bigger Tyres, Radar ADAS, 3 Row Layout and More

Nissan has started testing the Nissan Tekton 7 seater SUV in India, with fresh spy shots revealing key design details. The upcoming three row SUV was spotted during testing, with the latest images dated October 5, 2026.

Nissan is developing the larger Tekton to expand its SUV portfolio and target India’s growing seven seater market. The test vehicle gets 18 inch alloy wheels, larger 225/60 section tyres and a redesigned front bumper. The bumper also appears to house two millimetre wave radars, suggesting a more advanced ADAS setup than the five seater Tekton.

Nissan Tekton 7 Seater Gets Larger Dimensions

The upcoming Nissan car appears to retain the existing Tekton’s 2,657mm wheelbase. However, Nissan has extended the rear overhang to accommodate a third seating row.

The test car uses 225/60 R18 tyres. The five seater Tekton uses 225/55 section tyres, making the new SUV slightly different underneath.

The longer rear section will create room for the third row. It could also make the SUV more useful for larger Indian families.

Revised Design and Radar Based ADAS

The front fascia gets redesigned bumpers with vertical slits. The headlights and inverted L shaped LED DRLs are expected to continue from the five seater model.

The bumper appears to house two millimetre wave radars. This points towards a more advanced ADAS package than the current Tekton. At the rear, the SUV gets a new connected tail light design.

The cabin is expected to retain several features from the existing Tekton. These include a panoramic sunroof, Google built in infotainment, a 10.25 inch TFT cluster and rear AC vents. Front ventilated seats are also expected to continue.

Engine and Rivals

The Tekton 7 seater is likely to use a 1.3 litre turbo petrol engine. It is expected to produce 163bhp and 280Nm. Transmission choices could include a six speed manual and six speed wet DCT. AWD and a strong hybrid setup appear unlikely for now.

Nissan has not announced an official launch date yet. The SUV is expected to arrive in 2027 and rival the Hyundai Alcazar.

For buyers, the bigger question will be whether Nissan can offer meaningful third row space without significantly increasing the Tekton’s price.

I think the Nissan Tekton 7 seater could be a good choice for families wanting a practical SUV with useful features. The radar based ADAS is a nice addition, while the longer rear section should make the third row more useful. However, Nissan will need to price it well against the Hyundai Alcazar.
