Nissan Domestic Wholesales Jump 218% to 4,518 Units

Nissan Motor India reported domestic wholesales of 4,518 units in July 2026, marking a sharp turnaround for the brand. The substantial volume expansion was largely taken by the commencement of nationwide customer deliveries for its newly launched flagship mid-size SUV, the Nissan Tekton. This is alongside steady demand across its existing product portfolio.

Year-on-Year Growth Performance

Compared to the same period last year, Nissan registered a three-digit percentage surge in domestic sales. The low base of July 2025, when the brand relied primarily on a single-model strategy, amplified the overall percentage growth. Total wholesales including export shipments, reached 9,339 units for the month.

Month-on-Month Sequential Performance

On a sequential basis, Nissan sustained strong growth momentum from June 2026. The increase reflects a genuine demand pull following the market introduction of the Tekton SUV on July 9, 2026. And with this, customer deliveries officially kicking off on July 20.

Nissan’s July 2026 sales figures mark a pivotal transition from a single-product operator to a multi-model SUV brand in India. Backed by new launches like the Tekton and growing export shipments, the automaker has established a stronger foundation. This can be aimed at expanding its domestic market share ahead of the upcoming peak festive season.
