Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Launched at Rs 19.45 Lakh With New Features

Mahindra has expanded its Electric SUV range with the launch of the BE 6 Sporteq Edition in India. Based on the standard BE 6, the new edition gets a revised cabin, additional technology and changes to the centre console, while the exterior design remains largely unchanged. Prices start at Rs. 11.45 lakh under the BaaS programme, while the outright purchase price starts at Rs. 19.45 lakh, both ex-showroom.

The BE 6 Sporteq is being offered in multiple variants, including One, Two, Three, Three+, Four and Launch Edition. Mahindra has also brought the Formula E edition under the Sporteq range, where it is now called the Formula E Freedom Edition. Deliveries of the new BE 6 Sporteq are scheduled to begin on 26 August 2026.

Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Price and Variants

The BE 6 Sporteq is available with different battery options and a BaaS option for the 59kWh version. The range starts with the Sporteq One at Rs. 19.45 lakh, while the top-end Sporteq Four, Launch Edition and FE Four are priced at Rs. 26.95 lakh. Under BaaS, the entry-level Sporteq One is priced at Rs. 11.45 lakh with a battery usage charge of Rs. 3.75 per km.

BE 6 Sporteq Gets a New Interior and More Technology

The biggest changes to the BE 6 Sporteq are inside the cabin. Mahindra has replaced the earlier dual-screen setup with three 12.3-inch screens, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and running the Adrenox interface on its MAIA software-defined platform. The halo loop has also been removed, opening up the area between the driver and front passenger and allowing Mahindra to add more storage and a cup holder to the centre console.

The Sporteq continues to feature dual wireless chargers with cooling, a key slot, push-button start, a rotary infotainment controller and roof-mounted controls. The Launch Edition gets an exclusive Racing Tan interior theme and a dedicated Launch Edition plaque.

Six New TEQ Features Added

Mahindra has introduced six new technology packages with the Sporteq. TEQ_Me provides automatic user recognition, while TEQ_Drive adds custom drive modes, Tribe Drive, Revive, Revive SOS, Drift Mode and an acceleration boost. TEQ_Play brings console-level gaming and Karaoke with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

Other additions include TEQ_Talk with Google Gemini, which can handle conversations and control functions such as navigation and music. TEQ_Secure adds Secure360 Pro, NFC and digital car key functions along with parental controls, while TEQ_xting enables personalised messages and animations at the rear of the SUV.

Mahindra BE 6 Sporteq Exterior and Powertrain

The exterior design remains largely unchanged from the standard BE 6. It continues with C-shaped LED DRLs, slim headlamps, LED fog lamps, C-shaped tail lights, flush door handles, an illuminated BE logo, large spoilers and 19-inch wheels. The Launch Edition gets a Graphite Stone matte finish, while Ruby Velvet and Graphite Storm are also new colour options for the Sporteq range.

The BE 6 Sporteq continues with 59kWh, 70kWh and 79kWh battery options, depending on the variant. The 79kWh version is claimed to deliver around 683km of range, while the SUV retains its single-motor rear-wheel-drive setup with up to 286bhp and 380Nm.

BE 6 Formula E Freedom Edition

The Formula E version is now part of the Sporteq family and is called the BE 6 Sporteq Formula E Freedom Edition. Prices start at Rs. 24.45 lakh for the FE variant and reach Rs. 26.95 lakh for the FE Four, both ex-showroom.

The Freedom Edition gets the standard BE 6's C-shaped lighting design, Formula E badging and India tricolour insignia. Its cabin continues with Firestorm Orange accents, Formula E and FIA badges, and a dedicated Freedom Edition plaque, while the halo loop remains available on this version.
