Kia Syros EV Unveiled With Two Battery Pack Options

Kia India has officially unveiled the Syros EV with several new features and two battery options. The electric SUV will be available in Standard and X Line editions. Moreover, Kia has introduced a lifetime warranty for its NMC battery packs. The Syros EV also offers a claimed range of up to 526 km on a single charge.
X Line Gets Exclusive Features
The X Line edition adds several premium features over the standard model. It also comes with two exclusive exterior colours. The available colour options include:
- Xclusive Matte Graphite
- Aurora Black Pearl
In addition, only the X Line supports Vehicle to Load (V2L) reverse charging. This feature allows users to power external devices using the vehicle's battery. The Syros EV also includes front and rear dashcams, ambient lighting, a 16 litre frunk, four disc brakes, and a 100W USB C charging port.
Battery, Charging and Performance
Kia offers the Syros EV with two battery pack choices. The 42 kWh battery delivers a claimed driving range of 443 km. Meanwhile, the 51.4 kWh battery offers a claimed range of 526 km. Both battery packs use high density NMC cells and now come with a lifetime warranty.
Furthermore, the batteries support 100 kW DC fast charging, allowing a 10 to 80% charge in a short time. The SUV also includes an 11 kW AC onboard charger for home charging. Power comes from a 168 bhp electric motor. Kia claims the Syros EV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.1 seconds. Drivers also get paddle shifters for regenerative braking and the i Pedal one pedal driving mode.
Safety Package Gets ADAS
Kia has equipped the Syros EV with several advanced safety features. The electric SUV offers a Level 2 ADAS package with Parking Collision Assist Rear (PCA R). With premium features, long driving range, fast charging support, and a lifetime battery warranty, the Kia Syros EV aims to strengthen the brand's electric vehicle lineup. The exclusive X Line edition further adds unique styling and reverse charging capability for buyers seeking a more feature rich electric SUV.
