Jeep Compass 85th Anniversary Edition Debuts At Rs 26.70 Lakh: What’s New
Google News

Jeep has launched the Compass 85th Anniversary Edition in India at Rs 26.70 lakh (ex showroom). The special edition marks Jeep’s 85th global anniversary and will be limited to 85 units.
Bookings are now open across Jeep dealerships and the Jeep India website. The edition gets cosmetic changes, gold themed cabin details and additional accessories. It costs the same as the Compass Model S (O) diesel manual 4x2 variant. For buyers considering a premium SUV, the edition adds exclusive touches without mechanical upgrades.
Jeep Compass 85th Anniversary Edition: Exterior Changes
The Compass 85th Anniversary Edition gets limited exterior changes over the standard SUV.
- ‘85’ decals are placed on the doors, tailgate and wheel hub caps.
- It gets gloss black 18 inch alloy wheels.
- LED headlights with eyebrow shaped DRLs remain unchanged.
- The black seven slat grille and LED fog lamps continue.
- LED taillights and rear fog lamps are also carried over.
These changes keep the overall Compass design familiar while adding anniversary specific details.
Black Cabin Gets Gold Accents
Inside, the Jeep Compass gets an all black cabin with Mayan Gold accents.
The black leatherette seats feature gold coloured stitching. Gold accents also extend to the ambient lighting and panoramic sunroof sides. The standard feature list includes powered and ventilated front seats. The driver’s seat also gets a memory function.
Other features include a 10.1 inch touchscreen infotainment system and a nine speaker Alpine sound system. Buyers also get dual zone climate control and a wireless phone charger.
Jeep Compass Gets New Accessories
Jeep offers an 85th Anniversary AXS accessory pack with additional equipment. The Jeep car includes illuminated elements around the panoramic sunroof, a digital inside rear view mirror and front and rear dashcams.
The dashcams can record incidents while driving. The digital mirror can also add convenience during daily use. These additions are accessory based and do not change the Compass’s core architecture.
Same Diesel Engine, Limited Production
There are no mechanical changes for the anniversary edition. It continues with the 2.0 litre Multijet II turbo diesel engine.
The four cylinder engine produces 170 PS and 350 Nm. The Compass range gets a six speed manual or nine speed automatic transmission. Higher spec variants also offer Jeep’s 4x4 system. It continues to rival the Volkswagen Tiguan and Citroen C5 Aircross.
For buyers, the Compass 85th Anniversary Edition offers exclusive styling and added features. However, its limited 85 unit production may make availability the biggest consideration.
