Hyundai July Sales Breakup: Creta Continues To Lead

Hyundai Motor India recorded 54,210 retail sales in July 2026, marking a notable improvement over the same month last year. The company’s performance was mainly supported by strong volumes from its SUV range, along with higher contributions from models such as the i20 and Aura.

The Creta remained Hyundai’s top-selling model, followed by the Venue and Exter, while the i20 also emerged as a key contributor during the month. Overall, the sales mix remained heavily driven by Hyundai’s mass-market SUVs and hatchbacks, while premium models such as the Alcazar, Verna, IONIQ 5 and Tucson contributed smaller volumes.

Model-Wise YoY Sales Performance

Hyundai’s July 2026 performance was led by the Creta, which accounted for 33.37% of total sales. Venue and Exter followed with 37.76% and 34.19% YoY growth, respectively. The i20 recorded the highest growth among Hyundai’s major volume models at 98.41%, while Aura and i10 NIOS also posted gains. However, Alcazar, Verna, IONIQ 5 and Tucson reported lower sales compared to July 2025. 

Hyundai July 2026 MoM Sales Performance 

Hyundai recorded a strong 36.77% MoM increase in July 2026, with sales rising to 54,210 units from 39,635 units in June. The i20 registered the highest growth at 268.60%, followed by Creta and Alcazar at 152.34% and 183.55%, respectively. Venue and Verna also posted monthly gains, while Exter and i10 NIOS recorded declines. Improved Creta availability was a major factor behind the company’s sharp monthly increase. 

Hyundai’s Upcoming SUV Lineup

Hyundai is preparing a new wave of SUV launches to refresh its portfolio and address growing demand for EV and mid-size models. The company is expected to introduce a locally produced electric SUV around October 2026, followed by a Bayon-based SUV aimed at the mid-size segment. The next-generation Creta is also in development, with changes expected across its platform, design, technology and powertrain options. These launches will give Hyundai a broader SUV range across different price points and body styles.

As Creta continues to lead, Hyundai is preparing another Mid-Size SUV for India.
