Tata Motors has launched another variant of its Harrier EV - the Fearless+, at Rs. 26.49 Lakh (ex-showroom). With the inclusion of QWD (Quad Wheel Drive), the variant makes use of high-performance dual motors for better torque distribution. For accessibility, it is placed below the top-tier “Empowered” trim, making it nearly Rs. 2.5 Lakh more affordable. A new ‘Seaweed Green’ colour has also been added to the lineup with its launch.
Performance Specs and Feature Highlights
The Fearless+ QWD is powered by a high-capacity 75kWh battery pack paired with an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) dual-motor setup. This configuration delivers a combined output of 313bhp and 504Nm of torque. This enables the SUV to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds. Beyond the mechanical punch, Tata has equipped this trim with a generous features list that rivals many luxury SUVs.
Key features and specifications include:
- Enhanced Capability: Features the QWD system with six terrain modes (Normal, Sand, Snow, Mud, Rock Crawl, and Custom) plus Off-Road Assist.
- Range & Charging: Offers a claimed MIDC range of 622km and supports 100kW DC fast charging for quick highway top-ups.
- Premium Cabin: Equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital cockpit, and a premium 10-speaker JBL audio system.
- Comfort Suite: Includes ventilated front seats, 6-way powered driver seat with memory, and dual-zone climate control.
- Safety First: Standard kit features seven airbags, a 360-degree surround-view camera, and Level 2 ADAS functionality.
The introduction of the Fearless+ QWD variant is a calculated move to make high-performance AWD technology more affordable. The dual-motor setup available at a significantly lower price point positions it as the most capable option in its class. As competition from the Mahindra XEV 9e and Hyundai Creta EV looms, this trim ensures the Harrier EV remains the best.
