Google News

- The updated model gets cosmetic tweaks and new interior features.
- Powertrain remains unchanged with the existing 1.5-litre petrol engine.
Honda Cars India will launch the updated Elevate compact SUV on 6 October 2026. The mid-lifecycle update brings revised exterior styling and additional cabin features to keep the vehicle competitive. It continues to rival popular segment offerings like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.

- Exterior Changes: Redesigned front grille, tweaked bumpers, revised lighting elements, and new alloy wheel patterns.
- Cabin Upgrades: Larger touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument display, upgraded ADAS suite and ventilated front seats.
- Convenience Features: Integrated 360-degree camera and updated upholstery options.

Engine and Performance Details
Under the bonnet, the updated SUV retains its trusted mechanical setup. The powertrain specifications remain identical to the outgoing iteration.
- Engine: 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol.
- Output: 119 bhp of maximum power and 145 Nm of peak torque.
- Transmissions: 6-speed manual and Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT).
Car Junction's Opinion
The timing of this facelift aligns with intensifying competition, where feature-rich rivals like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos have raised buyer expectations for advanced tech. By adding key amenities like ventilated seats and a 360-degree camera, Honda effectively addresses missing gaps in the Elevate’s spec sheet.
Another point worth noting is that the lack of strong hybrid or turbo-petrol options might keep it on backfoot against performance conscious competitors. On the other hand, caring over the naturally aspirated petrol engine keeps the entry cost predictable. Success will ultimately hinge on sharp competitive pricing to convert initial festive footfalls into sustained sales momentum.
